&Elections is an independent platform and does not claim to be an official source of election data. &Elections produces projections for elections based on a collation of publicly available voting intention polls for different legislatures.
Data Sources
&Elections' model for current voting intention is based on a proprietary formula that collates all publicly published opinion polls listed in the 'Poll Library' section of each page. For Westminster, this is all GB and UK voting intention polls since the 2019 general election. For the Scottish Parliament, this is all voting intention polls since 2021. For the Senedd, this is all voting intention polls since the passage of the Senedd Reform Act 2024.
Demographic data is sourced from the 2021 Census in England and Wales and the 2022 Census in Scotland. Demographic voting data for the 2024 general election is sourced from a collation of post-election analyses by Ipsos, Focaldata and YouGov. Current Demographic voting intention is sourced from the crosstabs of most voting intention polls with a sample size of over 10,000.
2019 general election data uses the Rallings-Thrasher notional estimate. 2021 Senedd election data uses Election Polling's notional estimate. 2021 Scottish Parliament election data uses Ballot Box Scotland's notional estimate.

For maps, &Elections' Westminster model uses Flourish templates sourced from The Office for National Statistics, and The Boundary Commission for Scotland (BCS). For the Scottish Parliament, data from BCS is used. For Senedd Cymru, data from The Democracy and Boundary Commission Cymru is used.
